Wry Walk I

By woolybill1
Fist half of a sequence of compact observations made during a stroll in the wet from Arts et Métiers along the Boulevard de Sébastopol and the Rue de Rivoli to the Place des Vosges in Paris at the end of March. The sequel will follow in due course.

I had the D7000 and three lenses in a back pack but the Lumix is more discreet.

V1 Candid, Boulevard de Sébastopol.
V2 Poster, "Opening soon," Boulevard de Sébastopol
V3 Guitar shop, Boulevard de Sébastopol.
V4 Ear of corn.
V5 Stop!
V6 A louer (To Let)
V7 Breakfast leftovers, Place des Vosges.

Well observed collection Bill. For me v1 and I feel v4 is worth uploading in its own right

Yes I agree about V4, although these are all splendid shots. I also favour V7 - saves on washing up!

The discrete back door to the Folies Bergere? an amazing collection of image, most of which deserve a lone showing. The cooter is a cracker as well od course as this. An image with so many captions Bill.

Great set of images, for me it has to be V4 & 7, but all are great.

Superb set, each one a gem. Have to pic out V4 as well but don't understand the reference to an ear of corn.
V1 is exceptional not only because of the quirky content, but the colours are so complementary.

A varied selection here Bill. You know I like legs, but I do prefer to see them attached to a body.I would not mind seeing the legs attached to the body in V2 !! I was wondering about the ear of corn too,but I see it on the wall.
A fine set.

These are quite unique....only in Paris would you see these. For me v1 and v7 are the best. The warmth of the colors and the quirkiness of the items makes them for me. Unexpected and unusual combinations.

Certainly a variety of subjects on your travels here, Bill Smile I was quite amused by the leg in V1 Grin

Love the rather flamboyant looking Les Paul copies in the bottom left of the music shop. Should make them a lot lighter. It's a substantial bit of wood, a Les Paul. I used to have one, & you know when it's over your shoulder.

Wonder why they had it labeled leg, rather than Jambe?

V4, then V1, closely followed by V7. But they're all so good, such a mixed bag of images which collectively create that certain 'feel' of a walk through a city.

An interesting and eclectic set Bill, I particularly like v3 the reflections of the guitars in the music shop window and v2 of the supermodel Adriana Lima
