Anguish with a Smirk

By woolybill1
The weathered back of a gravestone in the cemetery of St Andrew's Church, Corbridge, Northumberland.

Thanks to everyone who has visited this week, and in particular to Carole for adding to the tally of U.A.s on Paving Stones.

Evidence of a resurrection maybe?
This would make a great Halloween mask, Bill.

Quite spooky and 'The Scream' were a coup;e of my first thpughts as well as well spotted.
If you csme across this in Medieval or Victorian times even in the half light of a flickering lamp you'd likely jump out of your skin.
