Glass Warrior

By woolybill1
Head on a shelf at the National Glass Centre, Sunderland, viewed through an outside window. In the background are a glass-topped shop counter and would-be purchasers surveying the glassware on offer.

Thanks to everyone who dropped in to visit Bob yesterday, to those who voted and commented, and to Ian (pink) for his valued award for The Demand. Greatly appreciated.

Like the composition, framing and toning of this image, Bill 👍 My eye was drawn immediately to the eye - do we see a reflected selfie in it? 😃

You most certainly do, Trev. I saw it too, but only once it reached the computer screen Smile

I see that you are taking 'the high road' unlike Mrs W yesterday who took 'the low road'. What a relief. That's enough bottoms for one week. At least she didn't call hers 'Ass Worrier'. What a relief. Again. I like your picture. The fine detail is very striking as is the composition. Its uncompromisingly bifurcated nature heightens the impact and allows the viewer to be challenged by the subject while being cognisant of the unsettling blur of the background. What lies in this liminal world we wonder? Toilet rolls perhaps?
(Thank goodness Humph called in for a cuppa. An Old Etonian is just the thing in a moment of artistic crisis! He's just gone off to see Samantha. He's been a bit glum lately so I'm sure she'll raise his spirits.)
Yours, channeling Brian Sewell, Mrs Trellis of North Wales.
