Here We Go Again 19

Beamish again 5

Detail in the Engine House. Taken with a 50mm Nikon f1.8 lens at full aperture and at minimum focusing distance, prioritising the ratchet release lever. I'm not sure what the ratchet regulated (and there was something in the way that I used as the base for the composition); on my father's old Alvis a similar lever regulated the outside handbrake.

Thanks for all votes and comments yesterday, much appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

I am viewing it as an exercise in shapes and textures, as with nothing we can compare against for size or scale. It has great details and I like the sheen of the metalwork, so you have succeeded in reducing it to abstract format.

I don't need to know what it is in order to enjoy the photographic input, Bill.
Aaah yes, a fine abstract..

True to say, I too wouldn't be concerned if I didn't know what it was.. The excellent photographic work speaks for its self..

I like this, Bill, it's as much about art as it is, Photography.

Some fine close-ups this week from the Engine House (a couple of which I've spotted on one of my images I took when there!) 😃👍
Please excuse lack of comments this week, been very busy.
