Detail in the Engine House. Taken with a 50mm Nikon f1.8 lens at full aperture and at minimum focusing distance, prioritising the ratchet release lever. I'm not sure what the ratchet regulated (and there was something in the way that I used as the base for the composition); on my father's old Alvis a similar lever regulated the outside handbrake.

I am viewing it as an exercise in shapes and textures, as with nothing we can compare against for size or scale. It has great details and I like the sheen of the metalwork, so you have succeeded in reducing it to abstract format.
