Looking North-West

By woolybill1
From the very top of our estate, the southern edge of the town, six days after it snowed. A companion to yesterday's upload, of course, it illustrates the subtle change of climate with increasing mist extending over and beyond Hexham through the Tyne Gap into Cumbria.

Thanks to Derek for his valued U A yesterday and to everyone who voted and commented. Thanks for looking.

Can't believe you've still got all that snow Bill - very envious! Nicely composed image though. I'm liking the soft shadows and light on the snow.

We haven't, Graham, it's been gone a few days; I'm just re-living the experience and making the most of it. I should perhaps have said six days into the recent snowfall. But it was great while it lasted, our first significant snow for maybe six or seven years.

The fence on the left prevents us from going more to the West, thus disappointing the Pet Shop Boys, while the road encourages our continued journey to the north of west.

They could easily have climbed over the wooden bit, so they can't have been all that bothered really.

You can try it, I'm not risking tearing the seat of my pants getting over that. I have my dignity to think of...Tongue

nice winter vista.
i am glad we had the snow, but now that it is gone and we are having spring temperatures and sunshine to go with it...it has become a distant thing from the past. Wink

I like the shape of the tree fronting the main scene. Good winter landscape, and I note not virgin snow now with all the footprints. Nice while it lasted???

I love snow Bill. Mix a gorgeous photo.....unless you think it needs a little more snow.
