Paving Stones

By woolybill1
Wet, with leaf. Location forgotten Blush (*)

Thanks to Oliver, Peter and Graham for their valued awards yesterday, and to everyone who viewed Brick Wall 2. Thanks also to Pauline (exposure) for awarding Four Figures. All greatly appreciated SmileSmileSmile

(*) Later amendment: Something tells me it was Winchester, on a day when we got very wet . . . .

Very well managed quite surreal moody image. The leaf is very well presented to capture the sense of foreboding yet beautiful imagery.

A masterpiece of procuring a winning image from a mundane subject, which most of use would have walked past.

Great images in my absence, Bill - love the Silly Sunday one! 😁 Please excuse lack of comments, but loads to catch up on here, and EPZ's very slow in loading images which doesn't help... 😬

I'm loving the composition of this Bill, but I can't help feel that it was one of those occasions were a polariser might have really come into its own (I am assuming one wasn't used?). Specifically, this would have benefited the image by helping reduce some of the reflection and bringing out more of that wondrous colour and texture. It would also have helped reduce the contrast caused by your shadow.
