Taken in Isolation 60

By woolybill1
Just a fallen tree in mature woodland. A drift mine was active in the wood until the 1960s.

Humongous thanks to everyone who gave cherished UAs to yesterday's upload, to everyone who voted, commented or simply popped in.
I do hope nobody thought that I always look like that: normally I remove my hat indoors 😁😉😄

Superb mono shot Bill. I like the sky which seems to match the tangled undergrowth.

Fallen in all that undergrowth, you need a machete to get trough all that.
I do like the nice contrast you have here Bill.

"Hello fallen tree! Hello scrubby undergrowth! Hello clouds! Hello sky!" Oh William, such magnificent artistry, such heavenly vision! My good friend N Molesworth has fainted at the sheer beauty of it. What a good job he fortified himself before hand with a foaming pint of 12% home brewed Prune Beer. 🍺
Just prior to being rendered comatose our highly illuminated mutual friend produced this shining gong from his blazer pocket and declared, his voice feebly quivering, "Plese oh dere frend make shore that Sir Billiam de Hackett geteth this magnificent trofy wot he can fill with prune vodka so that he may cry unto his nights in shinning arma "Drink! Feke! Girrrrrrrllllllss! Onwards for the hona of my brick. I love my brick!"
Yours, tears of joy coursing down my florid cheeks, Basil Fotherington Thomas.🏆

It does give the feeling it would attack anyone who got too close! 😁 Fine shot, Bill 👍
