Inspired by fine Autumn light we made our way back to the Angel of the North yesterday morning. This breaks my planned sequence, but is one of several that pleased me; more will follow one day or another.

Nikon D300, Nikon Nikkor 50mm f1.8 D AF lens;
1/6400th sec @ f1.8, ISO 200

Expect irregular attendance today and maybe tomorrow as our central heating boiler is being replaced

Fantastic! I love it! Great POV and although the Angel is out of focus you can tell immediately that it is he!

I have thought about getting my old boiler replaced Bill,and I am not talking about my central heating !! Nicely lit leaves here, and I thought the Angel was a tree trunk at first.But I best not say that about MY angel !!

Ah the boiler is being changed I wondered how central heating could be changed in two days? I hope you have an electric shower as back up.

Nice indistinct view of the angel hovering there in the bg.

Very clever. Even with the 'angel' out of focus (almost giving it a bat-like appearance), your shot conveys just how much it must dominate the surrounding landscape.

A lighter mood for the flightless angel. Interesting maximum aperture effects.
