It's a Duck's Life 3

By woolybill1
Its linguistic ineptitude led to the duck spending some time on detention in the empty schoolroom at Beamish Museum. It was a hopeless case, though, and eventually I connived with its preference for ducking out of education.
During the year it paid numerous visits to Beamish but was happier making himself at home among the decaying rolling stock at Tanfield Railway (V1).

I must apologise for an inadvertent indiscretion yesterday due to a severely senior moment: responding to a question from Roy I answered that the duck had eaten the oranges. That was elsewhere and on another occasion : in the café it just ate the menu card BlushBlushBlush

I am most grateful to Graham for encouraging my silliness with his User Award SmileSmileSmile

One of our Masters (they wore cape and mortar board in those days) used to leave a little green eyed monster on his desk whenever he left the room!!! Said he could see everything that happened...early WiFi CCTV??

Ah those days of pen and I hated them 😥😥😥

'There can never, ever, be too much silliness.' William Shakespeare. No, wait, that's wrong, it was William the tobacconist that said that, not Shakespeare...sorry.

So that's where he has flown to!

A wasted education. It will regret it now.

Perhaps the duck is pondering the significance of 'I quack therefore I am'.
With apologies and a dash for the coat stand Rene and Des Cart.

At least there are no pig tails around for it to dunk in the ink wells.

Ducky goes to school. Great lead image, Bill and both versions are superb additions to your quirky quaky quest.Smile

Thought those desks looked familiar - that old schoolroom reminded me of my schoolroom... 😉 Seems to be quite cosy in his nest in the version! 😁

Excellent placing of the duck looking towards the lights, Bill. Superbly composed and the colours are really fabulous. Top quality shot as well.

He looks quite attentive, but there's no-one there to teach him anything. A quacking image.
