On first glance I loved it but I'm in picky mode today I'm afraid. I'd like to see a bit more space generally, there's a touch of crampness here. I know this 'ought' to be square but I wonder how a landscape crop might work as well, could be a disaster, just musing here. Textures are great but Ithink I might try one more, the shadows are good but there's an overall lack some of 'depth' especially where the table meets the wall.

Having said all that, I've re-looked at it, and I still love it (and when I'm a little negative, someone comes along and gives it an award LOL)

I like this it's got an abstract quality to it. A superb use of textures. Having the almost unmarked apple there tells a story because once bitten and left it wouldn't take long for decay so in a way it complements the subject rather well.

Cracking shot !....nice simple set-up, with a sympathetic added that jug & bowl, has a lot of 'character', & contrasts well
with the freshness of the apple.....great stuff !!!!!

My only thoughts, would be to try positioning the apple @ 4 or 5 o'clock to the jug/bowl to add a sense of 'depth'....& maybe tone down
the 'join' between the flat F/G & the B/G with a bit of subtle cloning........not meant as a criticism, just as an alternative ??.Wink
