Focus sharpest on the grass - which may have distinctly Zen connotaitons!

Manual focus on AF cameras is terribly hard work: barring, perhaps, the latest generation of bodies with focus peaking electronic viewfinders...

If I were paying attention to the angle, I would have moved right slightly so the foreground grass framed rather than cut across him...
