Waiting for Nowhere

By Xenphoto
Taken while on the train and waiting for it to move. My first serious attempt at some sort of out and about street photography....

It's a good start. A good exposure balance has been achieved between the extremes of light and dark. Technically this is a tricky subject, well done!

Who says that street photography always has to include people?! I like the simplicity of this image and, as Bogwoppett says above, the extremes of light and shadow have been well balanced. Would I have liked to have seen an old moth eared book laying open on the bench? Well, yes ... but we can't have everything Grin

As it stands, it's a good image and a great start in a genre that I've never even really tried.

This works, and is droolably lovely, technically.

Only just seen these comments - apologies!

I found this quite hard to balance as it was rather sunny and bright too, so I'm pleased it's easy on the eye, thank you!

Might have just encouraged me to go out with my camera more Smile
