This staircase was the first thing caught my eye when I stepped into De L'oevre Notre-Dame museum. I absolutely love it.. I took it from three different angles. It was dark, but the noise level seemed OK. I haven't gone nuts about noise this timeGrin Obviously, the day light is a lot brighter than the artificial light on the wall, so V1 came out better than V3. Maybe the speed(1/8sec) was too much over my limit..Smile

Jasmine, I fell in love with this when I saw the thumbnail, even before I realized it was yours. You have outdone yourself! Magical light and composition!! Love all three but I guess v1 the best, but when they are all that good, it doesn't matter.

Lovely colour and tones in v1 which I think I lke best. The composition on v3 is really good with the inclusion of the wall light. Three excellent images.

What an amazing staircase. No wonder it caught your eye. To have been there when the light was as perfect as this must have made your day. Beautifully photographed. As you say don't get too worked up about noise under circumstances like this.
V1 is definitely my favourite - I just love the combination of wonderful shapes and light.
V3 - I'm not sure what you have done by way of processing, but I suspect that you have adjusted the contrast and that in doing so this has caused the - to my mind - slightly strange colouring effect that isn't present in V1 & V2. Still, all three are wonderful records of this truely fantastic staircase. You don't say what camera you are using so I can't comment on its capabilities. It would be interesting to see V3 as a seperate upload together with the uneditted original and pro critique requested and be allowed to make modifications. It would make an interesting discussion to see how people would approach photographing and processing these exceedingly testing lighting conditions.

Wattcha Jasmine,
excellent stuff,. Because of the nature of this rough stonework, perhaps b&w with a touch of added graiin?
