I think that the idea is a very good one, unfortunatly, the image is slightly blurred, I think the camera was too close and could not focus on the cat? This can be achived using a macro lens...Liquids are also very hard to capture, I would suggest turning up shutter speed, also along the outer edge of the bowl it is a bit pitted, I would get a clear image by using the flash( this could be experimented with)
