Got to smile at this one - like the tones and your humour.

Thanks everyone... I enjoyed doing this...

the white streak in the background is from a slow moving car, probably wondering what was going on! Grin
That is amazing well done.

Brilliant pic... would love to know more about your technique. I tried this, but couldn't get it right. What sort of shutter speed do you use and do you mark anything on the ground first?
19 May 2009 2:25PM
WOW, stunning colours and light.

Hi Stuart.

I left the shutter in 'bulb' mode with a cable release... I think this was a short one for about 3-5 minutes exposure. I don't mark anything on the ground, although I do use 'virtual' markers in my mind, or place a stone somewhere or pick out something that's already visual, if that makes sense...

It's those blooming martians ! Love the setting for this image.
Really love your work, how many duff shots do you get....is it a matter of practise or luck or both!?
Barbara.

Was that a small track behind you?

..assuming thats car trails behind your creature?

Love your work

Barbara, there were no duff shots, but I did do two more variations with two more smaller 'aliens, one of which I created submerged in the water giving off a weird glow... i may upload it another time...

P, that is indeed a car trail from a slow moving car... i was hoping for a stream of traffic, but out in the cuds, it just wasn't going to happen Smile

Love these images dude, youve really made them your own. This one is particularly special with the reflection in the water and contrast between the cool trails and warm background.

Party on...
