I do lots of multi frame stitched panoramas and almost always use a dslr on manual settings and a tripod but this one was an experiment using a tiny canon ixus compact camera and it was hand held. To cover the entire scene I had to shoot it in portrait mode and even then in 2 rows because I was already as far back as I could be pressed hard up against a cottage wall. The constantly moving people was the trickiest part and as you see I do have some Doppelgangers but apart from that I am amazed at just how well the little ixus and photoshop software has coped. I did have to do a fair amount of lens distortion correction to each frame before stitching though.
