Lake Pukaki

By katieb
Taken on the road up to Mount Cook, New Zealand, looking across Lake Pukaki. I have seen this lake several times and each time the colour was different, the glacial feed to the lake gives it a very distinctive blue colour (sometimes a very unreal colour), created by glacial flour, the extremely finely ground rock particles from the glaciers.

Thank you for looking

Remember this view well Kate, when we visited it was a deeper blue than this.
