Moeraki Boulder

By katieb
A wet dawn at Moeraki Bay trying to capture these amazing boulders. At 5.30 in the morn I didn't expect to see anyone else on the beach (used to Norfolk where there is nobody around) little did I realise that 1/2 the world would be there well not quite but I was surprised how many people were there and not NZers.
Thank you for stopping by.

What I really like about this is the way the shadow combines with the rock itself to create a rough sphere. Really striking image, Katie.

Quite otherworldly - and slightly reminiscent of The Prisoner and "Rover", somehow...

Didn't get to this location Katie, good comp to get the shadow to make the sphere.
Regards Richard
Seems to be hovering in mid air.
