No good at critique as you know. But do like three very much.

I like V1, I would have cropped some off the left and bottom, but I like the feeling of impatience on their faces and the lovely golden tones. V2, I probably would have made it a vertical and lost the huge post. V3, tried a vertical or a square crop removing most of the right side. I don't find the big posts do much. I'm no good at critique either but just what I would have tried. But for sure V1 is my favourite.

The three versions are very different.

V3 seems quite odd: in a tourist spot, from the looks of it, but he appears to be reading hte papers for a business meeting in his suit...

V2 is mysterious - a bit of a feel of "Don't Look Now" about it, though the bag someone else is carrying coming out from behind the pillar is a bit of a distraction. I'm also unsure about the tilt to the whole frame. Just a little unsettling, though that fits the mood of the shot. I think I'd either straighten, or tilt twice or three times as much.

But my favourite is V1, for the perfection of the pose, and the formal composition - they look as if they are waiting, a little impatiently, for a young relative.

In terms of technique, I like V3 best. V2 is a bit gloomy, and V1 is rather heavily processed, I think. More sharply perfect and glossy than a proper reportage shot, perhaps. A marginally tighter crop may be good, and will lose the border and title - I'm not sure if they add to the image or not.

V1 treated as V3. The tonal range to V1 has some interest but is very wrong. Too much so for me. It's that super flat HDR effect again. An acquired taste indeed.

V2 is just too heavy.

V3 is a strong simple composition and is very close to V1 in compositional appeal. If V1 had been technically treated as V3, I would havestruggked to pick one out..

These are simpke and uncomplicated. So many of your street scenes are very complex with so many sharp ekements they become confusing.

Thanks for crits
