Lovely scene very sharply captured but the verticals need sorting in all three shots.
thanks for crits and mod
V1 for me, would make a great composition when straightened
Hi Ian, I do like V3, it would benefit from a slight anti-clockwise adjustment, but you can only do this if the original allows, because of the tight crop, otherwise a fine image,
The middle one for me as the boat is not taking the eye out of the image in the foreground. It has some room around it....john
At least this created comments.
I think all 3 suffers from poor composition, in as much that the main part (the boats) of the photo is fine it is just the top part where you can see the houses should not be there. Have uploaded a quick mod where I have cloned some part of the houses out and burned in the rest, I know it is not a great piece of work but just to show you what I mean.
Apart from the above comments it is a great subject, I don,t know if you live near but if you do I would go back and retake the photos not forgetting the box to stand on, (I often find if I can,t find a box the Dog or Wife is a good alternative for a box)
It would also make a very nice mono picture??
V3 for me. Strong and simple. The text on the other two adds nothing and wastes space.
