The weather was good this weekend. I went out before sunrise and back home after dark! This was shot in the evening before sunset, and the sun was mostly behind clouds. I made almost 100 similar shots.
I'm trying to learn how geometrically the sizes, distances of subjects relate to focus length of the lens used. I remember what a well known photographer wrote : "...choose your lens wisely...".
I'm seriously thinking of getting an ultra-wide lens for landscape and various general uses. Particularly interested in the 12-24mm (for DX format) which will be equal only to a 18-36mm in 135 format. The Nikon has one with a f/4 (which is good as it is more affordable comparing to a f/2.8). Will f/4 be fast enough for DX zoom lens? Whereas, from what I've read, in 135mm days, f/2.8 appeared to have been the essential choice of a lot of the pros. And, any comment on Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC? Looks like Nikon 17-55mm DX is the best choice.
Thank you for viewing, please tell me what you think.
