So Much for the Afterglow

By Z_Driver
So I got out of work early and decided to make the 1.5 hour drive from Phoenix to Sedona. I always knew Sedona was fantastic but the last time I had visited Vanilla Ice was still popular; my memory was a little fuzzy from time.

I decied to go the to Cathederal Rock. I did my usual shots there trying to make them as original as possible. One much understand Cathederal Rock is probably the second most photographed location in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. I left the park as soon as the setting sun was done lighting up the rock since it was a hot couldless day and I didn't think the sunset would be good. After making this shot I kind of regret leaving so early.

On my way out of the National park I decided to drive a little futher down the somewhat curvy road. I noticed there was a nice afterglow against some clouds that were not present (or visible) during the day. I pulled over on the side of the road onto a the property of a hotel being built.

I'm really happy with this shot as it was a complete after thought. The only reason I got this shot was my love of curvy roads plus a convertible car. I'll upload the "intentional" shots in a few days.
