Certainly looks like the weevil family but info on tinternet suggest theyre only 6mm long and mine was more 15mm?

maybe it is a giant weevil...sometimes an indication that you have a damp spot...

I think you'll find the 6mm version is the lesser of two weevil's

Cracking shot great detail, after a search of about 15mins I think I found it, it looks like a vine weevil (otiorhynchus sulcatus) well captured
