Here's a treat for the rockers among you. This goldie was captured at a steam rally. It was in concours condition and it demanded to have a sepia monochrome treatment. I thought it enhanced the image to include the nearby group of bikers discussing the machines. The glow at the end of the tailpipe of the exhaust, was pure serendipity. I did not see it in the viewfinder and was surprised to see it when I was post processing the image. I could not have planned it any better if I had wanted to.

One lovely beast worth a small fortune now, had success on the IOM totally dominating the racing scene of the 1950s to the extent that it won every Isle of Man Clubmans TT from 1949 to 1956 when the series was discontinued.

Great photograph that captures both the bike and the obsession of bikers (I'm married to one).

Lovely image.
Many moon's ago, even before global warming and powdered milk was bad for babies I had one of these, not in such good condition. Some people would ask what does BSA stand for? We would tell them that it stood for "Bloody Sore Arse" Thanks for the picture. Smile

The comments are much appreciated. Thank you for stopping my and chatting. I started out with a Matchbox G2 250 then graduated, after my test, to a fantastic T 100. Eventually, I fell in love with those temperamental Guzzi V twins... and riding long distances on those old tractor engines. mmmmm....luvverly.

I used to go to Mick Walker's motorcycles for spares and the answer was always the same when enquiring after parts that were needed for about 6 weeks... "the parts are on the lorry coming from Italy and we expect them to be here soon". Deity be with those happy, carefree days. Smile
