Vernier height gauge

An image of the business end of vernier height gauge,mounted on a surface block, being used to accurately measure the entry point of a screw hole in the manufacture of a piece of titanium tubing.

The marking tip is a sharpened piece of very hard tungsten steel. The image was created in an engineering workshop as part of an industrial shoot.

Exposure: ISO 100 and 145mm at f/2.8 for 1/8th of a second with tripod mounted camera.
