Great b&w of this much loved and photographed shed. It's sad when either the boats or buildings finally fall but that's all part of the change.

This was the first thing I photographed on my first trip there many years ago...

History now, the oblique line of the track leads leftward, which intuitively means to the past; memories, regrets; to an age that disappeared. Last time we were there we saw notices up all over the place from The Management saying that 'unsafe' structures were to be dismantled. We knew that there would be no point in returning.

Great shot Tony. This is a place I plan to visit, without family in tow!
Nice one, Roland

A desolate shore scene with distinct signs of a lack of shoring-up and upkeep. What a shame these pieces of local history are allowed to disappear.

A lot of these old structures have gone now Rowland. However it is a great place to visit; especially in the depth of Winter. An almost intimidating atmosphere on a spit some miles out to sea with the power station behind you and some lovely old quaint cottages ( that were originally train carriages). It is a strange environment. A few years back I was in a store in New York and on the wall were huge pictures of models (women) at Dungeness. Clearly, the word has got around !

A super composition, and excellent processing, now a historical document.
Time passes, life changes and buildings that lose their purpose can't always be rescued. At least this old structure lives on in photographs.
