Monochrome street photography - without really exposing someone - great!
Image reminds to film and analogue prints.(Where do the "streaks" come frome?)
To my taste the crop could be even tighter - omitting the "WHSmith" and the upper right distractions.
Very well done! Many greetings!

Poor chap, looks like he's trying to claw some nasty thoughts from his head. I can understand his anguish if he's mistakenly walked into a McDonalds.
Great shot Tony ... I'm sure this will inspire some great conversation Smile

Thanks for comments but I disagree. The signage adds context to his despair.
He was actually an intrepid traveller on his way to India.
The streaks come from a filter I use that just adds some grit to the image.
Not to everyone's taste but I like it.

It's one of those 'just what am I going to get for her birthday' moments.
Cracking image Tony.

Excellent Tony!

I think this is Hobbo after he's just missed the opportunity to photograph a beautiful girl Grin

Thank you for explanation!
- The signage is pretty dominant - but as I understand just stands for a context of consuming busy people. So were is the connection between books and the way to India? Maybe an insider I am not aware of?
- The streaks add to the grungy look - fitting well in this image.

Why is it that as you get older you feel more disconnected to this world ?

Great image that really does capture that feeling.

Left his passport on the kitchen table?

All major transport hubs have this effect on me. We are trapped in a sort of limbo, waiting for someone else to tell us we can move on. Or not, as the case may be. Back a few years ago I found that one particular station in the south is strongly connected with a particular train company. Other companies use the station, but if they have a problem, for example a cancelled train, the station manager refuses to offer any assistance or advice to stranded passengers. So you feel that you could easily drop through a hole in the system and disappear from the face of the earth without anyone noticing...
I digress. The WHS sign is important, the firm started off in railway stations, subliminally the sign says railway travel. It's context.
I hope he got to the other end.

His emotions are well captured. WHS doesn't exist here (might have at one time); its good to know that provenance that Moira provides.

I think he forgot something that is very important. Like his wallet! It seems so strange now not to see any masks. An excellent image Tony.

Totally caught that exhausted moment when you wonder if it is worth all the bother!

Can happen anytime, anywhere.

Love you left us to make our own stories around this Tony - sign of a good photographer.

Also love the version, drama avoided!

I prefer the Version Tony - a more interesting composition, which still displays the wearyness of the guy.
